1. Do your research

Since cover letters should be short – ideally a few paragraphs, and always less than a page using bullet points can help you pack a lot of information into a small space. They also help draw the recruiter’s eye to critical information.
Use bullet points to showcase your most impressive achievements. Quantify them using data and numbers whenever possible. In other words, how much did you sell? How many tables did you tend to at once? What’s the typical number of patients that you cared for during a shift? Focus on achievements that are most relevant to the job. 6. End with a request
An application is a request to be considered for a role. It’s appropriate, then, to request an interview at the end of your cover letter. Finesse the language so that your request for an interview doesn’t come off as a demand, nor does it come across as desperate.
Keep your language simple and polite. Write a closing sentence or two that conveys your interest in cementing the next steps in the hiring process. For example, “Thank you for reviewing my qualifications. I would love the opportunity to discuss the role in more detail either on the telephone or in person.”
